We asked people around the world: What makes a person a true fan? The answers were: Attending concerts, buying merch, streaming music, and more. But how can fans really prove their fandom to their artist? And do artists actually know who their biggest fans are and why? So far, not at all. To make fans visible to their idols and, on the other hand, give artists a platform to reward their fans for their engagement, we have created reydix.

Reydix is the first overarching fan ecosystem in live entertainment – with the reydix fan app, the B2B app and the LiveTime Wristband. A groundbreaking technology, reshaping how people connect, socialize, entertain and share experiences in the world of artists, venues, brands and their fans. With reydix, for the first time, a real connection is possible.

Currently, we are further growing and are looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Lead Backend / Lead Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis as of now. You’ll be part of a dynamic, agile team of 30 individuals, working in an innovative and tech-driven environment backed by experienced partners. With headquarters in the vibrant Piraeus district, just steps away from the waterfront, you’ll find inspiration in our surroundings and our team’s collective energy.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
    • Work in a domain-driven environment and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and software engineers to shape our user stories, acceptance criterias and tasks.
    • Ensure our backend solutions align with the needs of our fans and partners.
  • Lead Development Initiatives:
    • Oversee the design, development, and optimization of backend systems and APIs, ensuring seamless support for our fan ecosystem.
    • Drive the implementation of initiatives such as CQRS, Strategic Domain-Driven Design and Requirements Engineering in order to establish a scalable backend architecture.
  • Mentor and Inspire Your Team:
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where team members grow professionally.
    • Use agile leadership methods to guide your team of five backend engineers as a servant leader in achieving continuous and sustainable optimization.
  • Architect Scalable Solutions:
    • Conduct architectural reviews and ensure the backend infrastructure is designed to scale with user growth.
    • Balance complexity and extensibility by adopting best practices in distributed system design.
  • Hands-On Coding and Optimization:
    • Write clean, high-quality, traceable code that meets business requirements.
    • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to maintain fast, reliable systems.
  • Drive DevOps Excellence:
    • Take end-to-end ownership of backend CI/CD pipelines and automate workflows to enhance efficiency.
    • Establish monitoring protocols to maintain uptime and optimize response times.

What success looks like

In the first 12 months, you will:

  • Optimize our backend infrastructure to ensure stability and scalability that supports real-time fan engagement and recognition.
  • Establish a customer-oriented delivery pipeline in a cross-functional domain team.
  • Increase system reliability, achieving a high uptime through robust DevOps practices.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative backend team with clear development goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Optimize API response times and enable seamless integrations with third-party services.
  • Establish backend monitoring protocols that proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users.

Who you are

  • Experienced Leader: You have several years of hands-on backend development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, managing and mentoring teams in agile environments.

  • Backend Expert: You bring deep expertise in Node.js / Nest.js and TypeScript paired with a strong understanding of microservices architectures.

  • Problem Solver: You utilize automation and monitoring tools for identifying and troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions that enhance performance, scalability, and security.

  • Architectural Thinker: You can design distributed systems with scalability and efficiency in mind, balancing complexity with extensibility using best practices like Monorepo.

  • Collaborative Communicator: You thrive in cross-functional teams, proactively sharing insights and fostering open communication to drive development forward.

  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: You rely on data to inform your decisions and prioritize quality and diligence in your work.

  • Adaptable Innovator: You embrace new challenges, are eager to learn, and are not afraid to explore emerging technologies to improve our technical environment.

  • Agile Enthusiast: You have a strong understanding of agile principles and Scrum, and you know how to use them to lead a productive team.

  • Language Proficiency: You are fluent in both Greek and English, enabling seamless communication with local and international teams.
